What is a paint correction?
Paint correction is the process of properly polishing and restoring your car’s paint to bring back that deep, glossy, “just detailed” look. We use professional machines, pads, and compounds to carefully remove swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, water spots, and that dull, hazy layer your paint picks up from Brisbane’s harsh sun, bird crap, bugs, and dodgy automatic car washes.
It’s not just a “quick buff” — it’s a proper paint correction that levels out the paint so it reflects like glass and looks way sharper.

This package focuses on enhancing gloss with removal of minor imperfections. Not recommended for heavily defected vehicles.

What is Paint Correction?
Paint Correction (also called machine polishing or cut & polish) removes swirl marks, light scratches, oxidation, and haze from your paint using professional compounding and polishing. It restores deep gloss and clarity.
How do I know if my car needs Paint Correction?
If your paint looks dull, hazy, or shows fine swirls in sunlight, it needs a paint correction. A paint correction can also remove scratches depending on the depth of the scratch. We offer a free paint assessment when you book in for a service.
Is Paint Correction safe for my car?
Yes. When done by professionals. We use paint thickness gauges and remove only the minimum clear coat necessary to fix imperfections without damaging the paint.
What's the difference between single-stage and multi-stage correction?
Single-stage is lighter correction for minor swirls. Multi-stage — often referred to as a two-step paint correction — involves heavier compounding to remove deeper imperfections followed by polishing for severely damaged or older paint.
Will Paint Correction remove water spots and etch marks?
Yes, in most cases. We can remove light to moderate water spots and etch marks during the correction process. Severe etching may need additional treatment or may not be fully removable if it has penetrated deep into the paint.
How much paint is removed during the process?
Very little. Usually only a few microns. We always measure paint thickness before and after to ensure we stay well within safe limits. Most cars have a decent amount of clear coat to work with for a professional correction.
Does Paint Correction protect my paint or do I still need something on top?
Correction restores the gloss and removes imperfections but does not add protection. We strongly recommend getting a ceramic coating or paint sealant afterwards to protect the freshly corrected paint from Brisbane’s harsh conditions.
How long does Paint Correction take?
A single-stage correction usually takes 4–6 hours. Two-stage correction can take a full day or more depending on the vehicle’s size and condition.
Do I need Paint Correction before Ceramic Coating?
Yes, almost always. Applying ceramic over uncorrected paint locks in imperfections and reduces the coating’s performance and appearance.
